DESCRIPTION
Canine ligament injuries and hock joint illnesses can be effectively treated with the Balto® Flexor, an adjustable hinge post-operative and rehabilitation brace. If your dog suffers traumatic or congenital instability of the tarsal joints, this brace will help stabilise them.
Canine flexor hock braces offer full range of motion (R.O.M.) control, letting you tailor the brace to your pet's specific needs by immobilising the joint partially or completely. Depending on your dog's post-operative needs, controlled flexion-extension motions of the tarsal joint can aid in healing by minimising stress and undue strain.
BRACE APPLICATIONS
- Provide contralateral support
- Post-surgical support
- Management of acute canine hock pain
- regulation of ROM for specific therapy programmes
- Conservative treatment; use in place of surgery for patients who are not eligible candidates
BRACE FEATURES
- Two lightweight airplane aluminum splints for support
- An external hinge that can be adjusted using secure lock technology allows for a specific configuration of range of motion (ROM)
- Range of motion can be set to a variety of degrees:
- Full Joint Immobilization (typically used pre/post-surgically) = 30° Flexion Position (FLEX) / 45° extension position (EXT)
- Reduced Range of Motion (ROM) (typically used during rehabilitation) = 30° Flexion Position (FLEX) / 15° extension position (EXT)
- Breadth and length are also adjustable, allowing the wearer to find the perfect fit by adjusting the length of the upper and lower cushioning.
Comes in sizes x-small/small through large/x-large. To find the best size for your pet, visit the sizing chart here.

Instead of neoprene, which is known to harbour bacteria, offer insufficient support, and wear out rapidly - all Balto® braces are crafted from high-quality, non-neoprene materials. Various sizes guarantee a snug fit. Specially designed to avoid pinching.
Recommended for all ages unless otherwise advised by veterinarians. For essential bracing in pets younger than two, use a brace for balanced intervals of time to avoid potential growth disruptions.
