The Balto® Soft Plus is designed to alleviate bilateral elbow joint pain in dogs, as well as the lameness and discomfort caused by the repetitive strain on the joints in the front limbs. The canine double-elbow brace is an excellent remedy for canines experiencing restricted movement as a result of injuries to both the elbow joints. This ventilated compression bandage, constructed from non-neoprene fabric, offers stability and reinforcement to your canine's forelimbs while preserving their innate mobility. Instructions for Use
Step 1
Prepare the brace by opening the straps and place the brace over the dog's back (Fig.1).
Step 2
Position the brace by lining up the padding with the elbow. Secure the Velcro strap. The dog needs to be standing with their weight catered (Fig. 2).
Step 3
Use the Velcro strap to adjust the length of the back strap. Position the contralateral padding with the elbow (Fig. 3).
Step 4
Secure the Velcro strap (Fig. 4).
Step 5
The back strap is adjustable: Remove the Velcro ends and cut the strap to the desired length. Reapply the Velcro ends and tightly close with the Velcro strap to ensure the brace is stable (Fig. 5).

Once the product reaches the purchaser, Balto UK reserves the right to refuse a full refund. Balto UK will accept returns or requests for refunds for any product within 30 days of receipt of product.
Refunds will be processed within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of product and will be issued to the method of payment used at purchase. Keep in mind that refunds can take a 5-10 business days to reflect in your account. Refunds will only be honored if during the initial fitting the product is determined to be a poor fit, function, and/or the product is affecting the health or healing of the patient. Visual inspection may be required.
The brace must be in resale condition to receive a refund. This means that the brace cannot have hair, wear, dirt, a foul smell and/or no modifications can have been made to the brace. After we receive the brace back, we will evaluate its condition and then issue a refund. Balto UK does not offer refunds for refusal from your pet to wear the product. If the purchaser simply does not want to use the device for reasons other than described above, Balto UK will not issue a refund.

Tips & Tricks
- Allow up to two weeks for your pet to fully accept the brace
- Wear the brace for 30 minutes a day, increasing 30 minutes each day after, for up to 12 hours
- Consult your veterinarian for specific instructions on when to wear your brace
- Remove the brace when your animal sleeps at night
- Inspect your pet for signs of skin irritation. If any are present, contact your veterinarian
- In addition to wiping the brace clean, keep skin and fur that comes into contact with the brace clean
- Inspect your brace regularly for any damage

A clean brace not only prevents infections, irritation, and a stinky smell; but it also allows your brace to last longer. To help support the longevity of your bracing device, here are some of our tips on how to properly clean your orthopedic bracing:
- Remove as much hair as possible from any Velcro® frequently to prevent compaction.
- Use lint roller or lightly adhesive tape to remove hair from the material of the brace.
- By hand, use warm water and a gentle cleansing soap to remove any stains and odors.
- Rinse soap thoroughly from the brace
- Hang to dry. Once the brace is completely dry, it is ready for use!

I bought this years ago for my GSD who struggles with hygromas. He'd lick his elbows raw until they become infected hot spots and fund the vet's next holiday.
He would wear the brace when unsupervised so that it can heal in peace. The brace is really adjustable so you can control how much (or little) support is given to joints while still shielding the elbows, and it worked beautifully. He wouldn't even notice he's wearing it and he'd walk, run, roll and frolick without even noticing it.
Fast forward years, he's nearly 10 now and wears it a lot more for his stiff arthritic joints. I can't turn back time and make him a puppy again, but I can make him more comfortable, and this brace does that for him.
The brace is years old, has been used HARD and is still going strong. The only thing that has perished are the small velcro pads inside, and Balto has kindly offered to send me spares.
I'm so glad I bought this back then, and I'm so impressed with how well it's made and how long it has lasted.
The customer support from this company has been outstanding too. Real people, real care.

TBH We were sceptical, but we needed to try something to help our staffy with arthritis. BUT so far so good! Awkward to start with while getting used to it, but now happy to walk in it and playing with others dogs again 🐾🐾👍 Quality of material and make is brilliant!
